Tips For Making Your Customers Feel Important

If you own a business, it will be easy for you to look at your customers as nothing more than money for you, but while it is true that the primary function of your customers - as far as your business is concerned - is to bring in money for you, it is also true that your customers are probably not going to remain your customers (and are unlikely to keep bringing you those dollars!) if you do not treat them valuably.

Most business owners are aware of the fact that about ninety per cent of a company's business will typically come from ten per cent of its customers (in other words - there is nothing more valuable to a company than its loyal customers!), and this is exactly why treating your customers as if they are more important to you than the simple value of their money is absolutely vital; as you are find ways to make your customers feel valued, you will create more and more loyal customers, and this will bring more and more money your way.

Making your customers feel like you care about them is one of the best ways to make your customers feel important; one of the best ways to do this is to begin to learn the names of your customers so that you can greet them by name when they enter your store - and you will also want to chat with them whenever they are in the mood to chat, as this will allow you to get to know more about them, and will give you things that you can ask them each time they come shopping at your store.

And creating a rewards program, or a frequent shopper program, can be surprisingly effective; create an email list (or a special section on your website) for "members," and give these members special coupons, and even notify them early of special deals and promotions that they can take advantage of.

There is a whole lot more involved in running a successful business than just providing a good product or service - and as soon as you start making your customers feel important, you will be one step closer to this "so much more," and to the success that it brings.

How To Enjoy Christmas While Saving Money

One of the biggest aspects of Christmas is the giving of gifts, but while some people have a lot of fun giving gifts, others see this as something that is extremely stressful; if you (or if you and your family) have ever gone through Christmas feeling like giving gifts is something stressful rather than fun, you may be taking the wrong approach – and the right approach does not necessarily have as much to do with spending more money as it has to do with knowing how to enjoy Christmas, even while saving money!

Establishing within your family the reason why all of you are exchanging gifts is the first step to enjoying Christmas even while you are working to save money; make sure that it is clear that none of you are giving gifts in order to get something in return, but rather, that you are each buying gifts for the others in your family in order to do something that is a blessing for them, which will make the actual purchasing of gifts of whole lot more fun for each person.

Once you and the members of your family have clearly established the reason why you are giving gifts, the next thing you should consider doing is setting a budget that each person in your family is allowed to spend on each person for whom they are buying gifts. It will be a lot easier for everyone in your family to have fun buying gifts when you do this and “require” that no one goes over budget, as they will know exactly how much they're going to spend, and will not have to worry about going overboard – instead being able to simply enjoy spending the money they have set aside!

And finally, realize when you are getting gifts that it is not about what you are getting so much as it is about appreciating what people are buying for you; after all, it is always possible for you to spend your own money on the things you “need,” but you cannot always have the pleasure of receiving thoughtful gifts from other members of your family.

Simple SEO Tricks You Can Apply Right Away

When you are are trying to boost the amount of traffic that is coming your way on your website, you will probably be looking to take advantage of all the great things you can do with search engine optimization - but one issue with applying search engine optimization to a website that is already up and running (and in fact, one thing that can cause people to never end up applying SEO to their website at all!) is the fact that it can sometimes take a little while for the SEO tricks you are applying to make a difference, and because of this, it is valuable to know a few SEO tricks you can apply right away, for quicker results.

One reason many people feel that what they are doing with SEO is not working is because they are not getting enough clicks when people find them on search engines, even when their links are high in search engine rankings; in order to prevent this from being the case for you, make sure you use the titles of your posts in such a way that they will implore people to click on them, as this will help you to get a lot more people to visit your website.

You will also want to start deciding before you add new content what keywords you want to focus on - and then, as you write the article, you will want to apply these keywords as often as possible; rather than just putting random content on your site with no strategy behind it, you can do a lot more if you make sure that your content is both focused and rich with keywords.

And if you want to increase traffic on your website, one of the best ways to do so - not just because it will help you to climb higher in search engine rankings, but also because it will generate more traffic on its own - is to get others to link to your site from their websites; this will create more people who know that your site exists, and will help you to climb higher in search engine rankings.

As you work to improve the visibility of your website, keep all these tips in mind, and you will soon find that you are achieving a lot more success with your website than you were achieving before!

Using Social Media To Promote Your Small Business

Nowadays, social media is one of the most valuable tools available to anyone who runs a small business, as it is a free way to "advertise" to current and potential customers, and as it gives you an opportunity to meet people where they are, and to interact with them directly; of course, while most people who run a small business are aware of the fact that social media is a great tool, it can be a bit confusing to try to figure out exactly what you can do in order to take advantage of it!

As you try to make social media an integral part of your business plan, one thing that will be extremely important will be that you build a social media platform of your own; start working to develop a Twitter and facebook presence that will enable you to reach out to and interact with potential and current customers, and this will help you a great deal.

As you interact with people through your own social media platforms, you will start to see more traffic coming your way, but another thing that will be important will be for you to get others to use their social media outlets to share your site; once you have people on your site, make sure you are building your site around the concepts of interaction and sharing, as this will naturally encourage your readers to share your site as well.

And finally, realize that Twitter and facebook give you a great forum for disseminating content from your site - but you should also realize that it will have a negative impact if you tweet or facebook links to your site too often. Rather than sending out links to your site all the time, wait until you have big news or an important announcement - and in between those times, continue interacting with people on facebook and Twitter, as well as on your own site, and watch as your traffic (and your profits!) continue to rise.

Your Marketing Plan and Social Marketing

The constant struggle to keep an edge over the competition is being fought by most businesses. Many of the things you do are able to be duplicated by your competition. Competitors can open more locations, duplicate the products that you offer, and use the same marketing techniques as you. Social marketing is the only true way for you to stay ahead of them in your line of business.

Social marketing combines a few different aspects in order to develop a consistent marketing technique. Marketing on the new social media sites is often what many people believe that social marketing involves. This is a misconception. That would be referred to as social media marketing and social marketing is different. Computers are not the sole way for businesses to socially market.

Social marketing starts with the important relationship that you and your business has with its customers. Everything that you can do needs to be done to stroke this relationship. One way to do this is through physical meetings with your clients. E-mails and social media sites can also be used to keep in touch online. Determine which of these methods is best to use after getting to know each customer.

Nurture this relationship with customers at every opportunity and you will see that the rest will work itself out. It will lead into the latter half of this marketing method; the customers telling others about you and your company. They will tell others in their life about you and your business as long as they are happy with it. This will lead to many referral sales opportunities. Your job will then be to make sure each referral becomes a sale.

There is no cost for you to market socially and that is the best part. This type of marketing was done in ancient greece and other ancient cultures throughout history. Up until recently it never had a name for everyone to refer to. Since the only cost involved is some extra work on your part, social marketing should take center stage on your business marketing plan.

Writing Good Articles To Grow Your Website

One thing you may have come to understand is that writing articles - and submitting these articles to article sites - is an excellent way for you to create backlinks for your website, and for you to drive up direct traffic, but one thing you may still be trying to figure out is exactly what constitutes a "good" article.

Of course, good, competent writing should be the foundation of a good article, but while it is pretty much impossible to write a good article with bad writing, it is not at all impossible to write a bad article with good writing - and the content of the article itself will be your first defense against having a bad article: make sure the content relates to your site, and that it provides readers with valuable information.

In addition to covering a topic that relates to your site and doing so with good writing, you will also want to make sure the writing itself is conversational and engaging; try to make readers feel as though they are reading something written "to them" by someone they know, rather than making them feel as though they are reading some sort of business correspondence.

And one of the biggest keys to getting clicks on the links you include in the articles you write will be that you leave these articles open-ended; this can be a fine line to balance your writing along, as you will want to make your articles informative and worth reading, but will want to do so without giving so much away that your reader feels there is no need to click on the link you provide - so write with this goal in mind, and keep tabs on how many clicks you get on different articles, so you can determine which approaches are working and which can be discarded.

When you write articles with these tips in mind, you will be able to start increasing your site's search engine ranking and traffic - all by writing about a topic that relates to your site, and that you probably enjoy writing about in the first place!

Tips For Opening A Store On eBay

Stories seem to crop up all the time about someone who someone knows who is making thousands of dollars each month just by selling items on eBay, and these stories make it seem like making money on eBay is the easiest thing in the world; if you have ever tried to start a store of your own on eBay, however, you have probably found that it is a bit more complicated than these stories make it out to be - and that you need to gather a few more tips before you will be able to meet with success.

One mistake that a lot of people make is that they open up a store on eBay and only have a few items to sell; if you are simply wanting to unload a few items from your garage or attic, you can do this with a regular seller account, but if you are wanting to open and eBay store and make some serious cash, you will want to make sure you have a full inventory ready before you set up your store, realizing that the more items you have, the longer people will stick around to browse through your store, and the longer they stick around to browse, the more likely they are to bookmark your store and to tell others about it.

Discouragement also tends to set in when someone's store does not take off right away, and because of this, they do not pay as close attention as they should to the few sales they are making; your early sales will be extremely important to your long-term success, as you will need to get a few positive reviews before you can start making more sales. For those first few sales, get in the habit of paying close attention to the sale - making sure the product is in good shape, shipping it out quickly, and even including a note to the person, thanking them for their purchase - as this will ensure some ever-important positive ratings early on, and this will put you in the mindset of always taking good care of your customers as your eBay store starts to expand and business picks up.

And once these positive ratings roll in, you will be ready to start expanding: get people to mention your store on twitter and facebook, ask people to mention it on their blog, and talk it up in person - and soon, you will be one of those success stories others are hearing about!
