Avoid Bears While Hiking Or Camping

AMAZING NEW SYSTEM BUILDS YOUR BUSINESS ON AUTOPILOT

You might have found yourself in a place lately where a brief escape from your everyday life sounds like a good idea. You might be wanting to plan a trip to hike for a few days and camp along the way, enjoying nature to its fullest. After all, the escape you are searching for cannot be found at a campsite with running water! You need to make your way off the beaten path, traveling into the woods. The only problem with this plan, however, is that you would like to avoid bears if you can, and "off the beaten path" is generally where bears live. Here are a few tips to help you avoid bears along your great journey, because it is better to learn about this by reading than to learn about it through trial and error.

Ask questions: You will be able to find park rangers or guides wherever you are going, and these individuals will know better than anyone else what spots you should aim to avoid. After all, no one will know the area better than these experts.

Create noise while you are hiking: You should know that bears do not enjoy being startled; you should also know that it is good to avoid doing things to bears that they do not enjoy! If you are taking this journey with a friend, try to keep your conversations loud. If you are traveling alone, you can ensure that you constantly announce your presence by tying a couple bells onto your backpack.

Keep your eyes open: Pay attention for signs that declare that bears have been around. Trees with the bark rubbed off, or bear droppings, are good indications that you might be inside a bear's regular roaming area. Make your way to someplace new if you start seeing signs that indicate that you have stumbled into a bear's territory.

Stay odor free: This does not mean your body odor (although that will probably be a problem too!), but this means the odor of your campsite. Don't leave food out, cook foods that have little odor, and make sure you keep your tent odor free by not keeping food inside it, and by wearing clothes that are clean and free from the scent of food.

Your great wilderness escape could be one of the greatest memories of your life; just make sure you set yourself up for life to continue after it is over!
